Importing Clients

How do I import clients from another platform?

Updated over a year ago

We have an import feature HERE in CoachRx.

Importing from TrueCoach

  1. Export your TrueCoach clients from your client section.
If you have multiple coaches in your account you can perform multiple imports or combine into a single csv file.

  2. Click the “Upload From TrueCoach” button and upload the csv file

  3. Click the “Import From TrueCoach” button.

  4. CoachRx will process the import in the background, send your clients invite emails, and email you when complete.

  5. Your clients will appear in your client list.
If you imported your coaches clients, you can now transfer them to those coaches in your client list.

Importing from scratch

  1. Download the Spreadsheet file provided here

  2. Open the file in Excel, Sheets or Numbers

  3. Fill out each row for the clients you are importing.
Pay attention to the format that is required. Also, if you are importing for multiple coaches in your account, the coach’s name must be spelled the same as in CoachRx. If not, the client will go into your client list and you will have to transfer after import.

  4. Export the file as an CSV.
See steps below on how to export a csv.

  5. Click the “Upload File” button and upload the filled out csv file from your computer

  6. Click the “Import” button at the bottom of the page

  7. CoachRx will process the import in the background, send your clients invite emails, and email you when complete.

  8. Your clients will appear in your client list.
If you imported your coaches clients or the coach name did not match they will appear in your client list. You can transfer them to those coaches in your client list.

How to save a CSV

EXCEL

Once you have your document formatted in Excel, you can click File > Save as. From the file type drop down, you'll need to select .csv.

SHEETS

To export a spreadsheet in Google Sheets, you'll need to click File > Download as and select a file type (in this case, pick .csv). Then select Save.

NUMBERS

In Numbers, you can click File > Export to > CSV. This will select CSV for you as the file type that this document will be saved as.
