The Target Value Design and the ForeSite solutions are connected through Value Optioneering items. In ForeSite, you create the VO items, and assign Scopes of Work. These scopes are related to divisions of work, the same divisions you track targets for in TVD. When approving or rejecting a VO item, you specify which milestone in the future these changes will be applied to.

All of this workflow translates into the Forecast cost you see in TVD. This Forecast cost of the future milestone is equal to the current estimate plus any changes caused by approved VO items, whether they lead to a cost increase or decrease.

Click on the title of the target to see all the VO items related to it, and use the table heading to sort through the items. From this flyout menu, you can add New VO items whether from scratch or from the library.

You can also add VO items from TVD whether you are using a grid view or a table view.

When you click on a target, you will be redirected to the Vision solution which shows you more details about this target, and how ForeSite items are affecting it across milestones.
