Updated this week

Video

Summary

  1. It is always recommended to have at least 2 milestones in your project. You should always approve a VO item to a future milestone. But, what if you accidently approved a VO item to a current milestone?

  2. In ForeSite, start by adjusting the filters so you can see the approved VO items.

  3. Next, open the VO item you want to revert. Click on the three dots on top of the flyout menu, and click Revert Approval. This will bring the VO item back to the Pending status.

  4. Now that the VO item is pending again, you should approve it to a future milestone. If you don't have one, go to the timeline solution and create a new milestone.

  5. Go back to ForeSite, and approve the VO item to the future milestone you just created.

FAQ

Why do I need a future milestone?

A future milestone acts as a placeholder for your next estimate. When approving Value Option items, it is important to select the upcoming milestone as it is tied to your Forecasted cost which is: Current Estimate plus/minus accepted Value Optioneering items.

What is a Forecast in ConCntric?

The Forecast in ConCntric is directly related to ForeSite. It represents your current / most recent uploaded estimate plus/minus accepted Value Optioneering items.

Why is my Forecast not changing?

The Forecast in ConcCntric takes your Current Estimate cost plus/minus Accepted Value Optioneering items and projects that value on to your upcoming estimate Milestone. If you accidentally approved your items to the current or incorrect milestone and you don't see the correct Forecast, watch the clip in this segment.
