INTRODUCTION
Feature Summary: Network Memberships in CourtReserve allow members of an enterprises' location to access multiple locations with a single membership, creating a flexible and seamless experience across a network of facilities.
Use Cases: For example, a tennis and pickleball organization with locations in multiple cities offers a Network Membership that provides access to all facilities. Members can use courts at any location, but enjoy discounted pricing and exclusive amenities at their primary club, encouraging local loyalty while maintaining network-wide access.
CourtReserve has created a seven-part video series to help you visually understand Network Memberships—how to set them up and how they can benefit your enterprise. These videos are linked throughout the Network Membership articles (look for the ▶️ icon) and can all be accessed here.
WHAT IS A NETWORK MEMBERSHIP
A Network Membership in CourtReserve enables members to access multiple locations within an enterprise's network. Ideal for enterprises with multiple locations, this membership type allows members to purchase a single membership that grants them access to various locations across the network.

NETWORK MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE
Network Memberships are managed centrally through a location template, applying default and consistent rules, benefits, and limitations across all participating locations. With a Network Membership, members can visit any location in the network, providing them with a seamless experience across the locations in the enterprise.
When setting up a Network Membership, admins can define where the membership can be SOLD IN and ACCESSED IN within the location template, resulting in two types of memberships at the location level:
Sold In – Defines where a membership can be purchased and managed. When a member buys a membership at a specific location, that location becomes the Primary Club for the member, with full control over membership status, billing, and renewals.
Accessed In – Defines where a membership can be used, regardless of where it was originally purchased. Members can access services, book courts, and attend events at these locations, but their primary club still manages the overall membership.
Primary Membership: This membership is available for purchase at specific locations. Locations where it can be sold may have unique rules and pricing, allowing local admins to create incentives for members to purchase directly at that site. The membership is then managed and "owned" by the purchase location and any changes of membership status would reflect across any location they also had access to (expirations, cancellations, suspensions, etc.).
Example: Diamond Elite
Network Counterpart: This membership is automatically assigned to members visiting a location where they did not purchase their original membership. The counterpart provides access privileges while maintaining the benefits and rules set by the visited location. It cannot be purchased or made public for sale, but it ensures seamless access across the network. Any changes in status would immediately reflect across all locations the member had access to.
Example: Diamond Elite (Network)
Real-Life Example:
Primary Membership (Sold In) – A Diamond Elite membership can be purchased at Downtown Raquet Club. This becomes the member’s primary club, responsible for billing and account management. If the member cancels or suspends their membership, that status applies to all locations they visit.
Network Counterpart (Accessed In) – The same Diamond Elite member can visit and play at Uptown Racquet Club without needing a separate membership. The Diamond Elite (Network) membership is automatically assigned at the visiting club, giving them access to courts and services, while still being managed by the original purchase location.
CREATING VALUE THROUGH LOCATION-SPECIFIC CUSTOMIZATION
While Network Memberships can be standardized across locations, a dual membership structure allows each location to offer additional value through customized perks and unique offerings:
Exclusive Local Benefits: Locations can provide unique perks to members who enroll locally, such as priority booking, access to special events, or discounts on local services, fostering loyalty and a sense of community.
Customized Pricing by Location: Each site can establish its own pricing structure for memberships, allowing high-demand or premium locations to charge a tailored membership fee.
Specialized Amenities for Local Members: Locations with exclusive amenities, like indoor courts, resources, or premium play time, can reserve these for locally enrolled members or charge a premium for the network counterpart.
WHY NETWORK MEMBERSHIPS?
Network Memberships offer the best of both worlds: consistency and flexibility at the network level, along with unique benefits and experiences at individual locations. This model provides members with broad access alongside localized perks, while allowing organizations to offer varied memberships to meet the needs of diverse member bases.
With Network Memberships in CourtReserve, organizations can streamline access while creating customized member experiences, ensuring a unified yet personalized experience that enhances member satisfaction at every location.
