Understanding meeting summary reports

Quickly catch up, share key takeaways, or act on next steps — without having to read a full meeting transcript.

After a meeting ends, Coworker automatically generates a summary report from the transcript captured by Notetaker. The summary gives you a structured overview of what was discussed.

When the summary is available

  • Transcript: Available approximately 30 seconds after the meeting ends

  • Summary report: Available approximately 1–2 minutes after the meeting ends

What the summary report includes

The meeting summary report is structured to give you the most actionable information first:

  • Overview: A brief description of the meeting's purpose and outcome

  • Key discussion points: The main topics covered, organized by theme

  • Action items: Specific next steps identified during the meeting, including owners where mentioned

  • Decisions made: Any conclusions or decisions reached during the conversation

How to access your meeting summary

  1. Navigate to Meetings in the side menu

  2. Click on the completed meeting in your meetings list

  3. The Summary tab displays the auto-generated report; the Transcript tab shows the full verbatim transcript with speaker attribution

How summaries are sent to attendees

Depending on your network's settings (configured by your Admin), meeting summaries may be automatically sent to attendees after the meeting. Your Admin controls who receives them:

  • Only attendees who had Notetaker enabled for the meeting

  • All Coworker users in your organization

  • All internal members of your network

  • Everyone, including external guests

Notes

  • Summaries are only generated when Notetaker was present and admitted to the meeting. If Notetaker was not admitted or was removed early, the summary may be incomplete or unavailable.

  • You can also ask Coworker questions about any meeting using the chat interface on the meeting's detail page.
