How to Create a Creator Search

A
Written by Azema

Go to Search and select Create New.

1. Name the search

Enter a name that will make the search easy to recognize later.

A useful name normally includes the creator segment, platform, or campaign angle. For example:

  • US wellness creators

  • TikTok productivity content

  • YouTube video editing creators

2. Select a platform

Choose one platform:

  • TikTok

  • Instagram

  • YouTube

To search the same segment on another platform, create a separate search. You can also duplicate an existing search and change the platform or other settings before launching it.

3. Select the Search Country

Search Country determines the market in which Creally looks for content.

Only one Search Country can be selected for each search.

This setting is different from the Countries creator filter. Search Country controls the content market, while Countries filters creators by their estimated location.

4. Describe the creators you want to find

In Who do you want to find? describe the content creators that would be relevant to your campaign.

Include information such as:

  • their main niche

  • topics they should regularly discuss

  • relevant content formats

  • the use cases or problems connected to your product

  • the type of content that would make the creator a good fit

  • a link to your product or website

For example:

Find creators who make practical content about meditation, stress management, healthy routines, and mindfulness for beginners. They should regularly explain techniques, share personal routines, or recommend tools that help their audience manage stress. Product: [link]

Creally generates the search keywords automatically. Write a natural description of the creator and their content rather than a list of isolated keywords.

Good description: Explains the creator’s niche, regular content, relevant use cases, and what makes them a suitable partner.

Too broad: “Wellness influencers.”

Too restrictive: A long list of mandatory topics, formats, demographic requirements, and exclusions that very few creators could satisfy at the same time.

5. Add negative keywords

Use Negative Keywords to exclude clearly irrelevant topics.

For example, a financial education campaign might exclude gambling, crypto, or get-rich-quick content.

Use this field for strong mismatches rather than every topic that is slightly outside your ideal profile. Too many exclusions can unnecessarily reduce the available pool.

6. Choose creator filters

Turn on Creator Filters if your campaign has additional requirements.

Countries

Filters creators by their estimated location.

You can use a predefined market group or select Custom. This does not filter audience location.

Followers

Select a predefined creator tier or use Custom to set your own follower range.

Use follower limits only when they are relevant to the campaign. A narrow range can remove otherwise suitable creators.

Languages

Filters creators by the language of their content.

Age and gender

These filters apply to the creator, not the creator’s audience.

Select only the groups that are eligible for your campaign. If creator age or gender is not a firm requirement, leave the filter broad.

Minimum median views

Sets the minimum median view threshold for creators returned by the search.

Median views can be more representative than a single high-performing post. However, a high minimum can substantially reduce the available results. Select Any when a fixed view threshold is not required.

Minimum engagement rate

Sets the minimum engagement-rate threshold for the search.

Higher thresholds reduce the creator pool. Use Any if engagement rate is not a strict campaign requirement.

Include brand accounts

Select this option if company, publication, product, or other brand-operated profiles are relevant to your campaign.

If it is not selected, brand accounts are excluded from the delivered results.

7. Create the search

Review the description and filters, then select Create Search.

The search will begin processing immediately. You can open it and view the creators found so far without waiting for the search to finish.

Using Quick Setup and search suggestions

Quick Setup applies the settings from the previous search shown in the card.

Select Apply, review the copied settings, and adjust them before creating the new search.

If Creally shows a suggested search, select Use this suggestion to apply the recommended settings to the form. The search does not start until you review the setup and select Create Search.

Before launching the search

Check that:

  • the description explains the creator’s content, not just your product

  • one platform and one Search Country are selected

  • Search Country is not being used as a creator-location filter

  • only true campaign requirements are added as creator filters

  • negative keywords exclude clear mismatches

  • the settings are broad enough to produce a useful creator pool

If the completed search returns fewer creators than expected, open its Search Details and review the Filter Funnel before adding more search terms or launching another variation.
