How can I set the time format of an Episode?
Time format when creating a new Episode
When creating an Episode, multiple fields and settings are available. One of the options is to set the Episode to a 12-hour or a 24-hour time format, allowing you to either use AM/PM (12 hour) or e.g. 01:00 vs 13:00 (24 hour).
By default, Cuez will select the time format based on your computer's time settings. If Cuez is unable to determine the time format in this way, it will be set to the 24-hour format, but will allow you to change the setting as needed.
Each following Episode you create, will use the previously selected time format by default, but the option to change remains available.
Time format for existing Episodes
Episodes that have already been created, can still be updated when it comes to the time format. Simply click the three vertical dots in the top left corner (next to the name of the Episode) and select 'Episode settings' from the menu. Next, update the time format as needed.
How does the time format affect my Episode?
Timings affected by the time format
The following timings are affected by the time format that is set for the Episode, as these are entered in 12 or 24 hour format:
Episode On Air and Episode Off Air times
Front time
End time
Back time
Act. Start
Act. End
24 hour time format
When set to the 24 hour time format, the above mentioned timings will be entered and/or displayed in their 24 hour format.
E.g.:
One o'clock in the afternoon would be entered and/or displayed as 13:00:00. Alternatively, you can also type '13' and tap enter to confirm, which sets the time as 13:00:00.
One thirty in the afternoon would be entered and/or displayed as 13:30:00. Alternatively, you can also type '1330' and tap enter to confirm, which sets the time as 13:00:00.
And so on.
12 hour time format
When set to the 12 hour time format, the above mentioned timings will be entered and/or displayed in their 12 hour format, meaning with AM/PM.
E.g.:
One o'clock in the afternoon would be entered and/or displayed as 01:00:00 pm. Alternatively, you can also type '1pm' or '01pm' and tap enter to confirm, which sets the time as 01:00:00 pm. Same for AM.
One thirty in the afternoon would be entered and/or displayed as 01:30:00 pm. Alternatively, you can also type '130pm' and tap enter to confirm, which sets the time as 01:30:00 pm. Same for AM.
Simply typing '1' or '01' for example, without specifying AM or PM, will default to AM, so it is best to specify AM/PM as needed.
And so on.
