What is Shoots
Shoots is Cuttable's AI photography studio. It is a conversational workspace that helps teams generate high-quality product and lifestyle images and videos quickly, using real products and brand context.
Shoots allows you to:
Create product and lifestyle scenes through conversation
Generate ad-ready images and videos without a traditional photoshoot
Build multiple scenes using a single source image
How Shoots Works
Shoots works through an ongoing conversation. You describe what you want to create, and Shoots suggests scenes, selects relevant products from your catalog, generates images and videos based on your instructions, and maintains context across the conversation. You can move from broad ideas to specific refinements without starting over.
How to Prompt Shoots
You do not need to write complex prompts. You can ask Shoots things like:
"Create a lifestyle scene for summer using our top products."
"Suggest a retail display concept for a holiday campaign."
"Create a clean product image with space for text at the top."
If you are not sure where to start, you can ask Shoots to propose concepts, scenes, or product pairings.
Shoots as a Conversational Creative Partner
Shoots is designed to act as a creative partner, not just a prompt box. It can generate ideas based on your brand and products, suggest concepts for different audiences or use cases, and help explore story-led or thematic scenes. Shoots adapts to your brand tone and previous context within the conversation.
Generating Trending Videos for Your Brand
Shoots can generate creative, trend-led videos that go beyond standard product or lifestyle content. Here are three prompts to get you started:
"Generate trending videos for my brand." — Shoots will return a set of creative video concepts tailored to your industry. To avoid UGC-style content, add: "No UGC-style people, be more creative."
"Create a CGI-style video of our product floating in a dreamlike sky, spinning slowly with soft cinematic lighting and ultra-realistic texture on the packaging."
"Create an animated claymation-style video of a character dealing with a common pain point for our customers, showing how our product solves it."
How to Edit Images and Videos
Shoots supports iterative editing. To edit an image or video:
Select a generated image or video
Click Edit
You will return to the exact point in the conversation where the content was created
Describe the change you want
Examples of edits include changing colors, adding or removing elements, adjusting lighting, or modifying the environment. Shoots generates new variants of the same scene rather than creating an unrelated image or video.
Rating generated assets
Every image or video Shoots generates includes a thumbs up or thumbs down control on the asset card. Select thumbs up when a result works for your brand or thumbs down when it does not. Your rating stays visible on the card and feeds back into future generations, helping Shoots produce results that better match your brand.
When you select thumbs down on a generated image or video, Shoots also asks an optional follow-up question about why the result missed the mark. Choosing a reason is not required to submit your rating, but it helps Shoots and the Cuttable team understand what to improve.
Using Reference Images
You can add reference images to guide Shoots. Reference images can be used to show a preferred style or composition, indicate lighting, mood, or environment, or provide inspiration for a specific type of scene. Shoots uses reference images as guidance, not as exact templates.
How Shoots Fits Into Cuttable
Shoots is fully integrated into Cuttable's workflow. With Shoots, you can start a shoot directly from a product page, automatically include selected products, save generated images to product albums, and turn generated videos into ads without leaving the Shoots conversation.
Turning a Shoots video into an ad
There are two ways to use a video generated in Shoots as an ad:
Make Ad — opens the Ad Brief with the video pre-attached as an asset. Use this to choose a template or design and build a fully branded ad around the video.
Quick Captions Ad — wraps the raw video with captions without going through the brief. Use this for a fast output when you do not need to apply a template or pick a design.
Both buttons appear on any video generated in Shoots.
Credits and Usage
Shoots uses AI Credits when generating images and videos. Credits are used only when new content is created. Viewing, organizing, and managing assets does not use credits. Shoots uses the same shared AI Credit pool as the rest of Cuttable. For full details, see Cuttable's Credit System Explained.
