⭐ Important: The Google Search Console integration is currently being reviewed by Google and awaiting verification. During this process, Google shows an "unverified app" warning during sign-in. The warning is expected during the Beta, and the steps below explain how to continue past it.

What connecting Google Search Console does

Connecting Google Search Console lets Cuttable read search performance data for the website you choose, including the Google search terms that bring people to your site. Cuttable combines that search data with your ad performance to find better ad ideas in Ad Suggestions. Cuttable only has read access to Google Search Console and cannot edit anything in your Google Search Console account.

How to connect Google Search Console

  1. Select your initials in the bottom left corner of the Cuttable screen.

  2. Click Settings, then open the Connectors tab.

  3. Find the Google Search Console card and select Connect.

  4. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your website in Google Search Console.

  5. Google shows a screen titled Google hasn't verified this app. Select Advanced, then select Go to cuttable.com (unsafe).

  6. Review the access request. Cuttable asks to View Search Console data for your verified sites. Select Continue.

  7. Cuttable shows Google Search Console connected. Select Choose site.

  8. In the Site dropdown, select the website Cuttable should read search data from. Cuttable confirms with Google Search Console site saved.

  9. Under Manage Connection, select Test connection. Cuttable shows Linked when it can read the chosen site.

FAQs

Why does Google say Cuttable is unverified?

Google shows the unverified app warning because Google has not yet finished verifying the Cuttable app. You can continue safely, and the warning will be removed once Google completes verification.

My website is not in the Site dropdown.

The Site dropdown only lists websites that the signed-in Google account can access in Google Search Console. Check that the Google account has been added as a user on the website in Google Search Console, then select Refresh sites.

Can I change which website Cuttable reads from?

Yes, you can change the Google Search Console website at any time. Go to Settings, open the Google Search Console integration, and select a different website in the Site dropdown. Cuttable saves the new website automatically.

Do I need to connect Google Analytics as well?

No, Google Search Console and Google Analytics are separate connections. You can connect either one or both, and Ad Suggestions uses whichever data is available.

Who can test or disconnect the Google Search Console connection?

Only admins on your Cuttable account can use Test connection and Disconnect under Manage Connection.

How do I stop Cuttable using Google Search Console?

To stop Cuttable reading Google Search Console, select Disconnect under Manage Connection. You can also remove Cuttable's access from your Google Account settings at any time.
