Voiding an issue in Gearbelt is useful when an issue was reported by mistake, has already been addressed, or is no longer relevant. It helps keep your records accurate and prevents unnecessary repairs or follow-ups.

To void an issue, follow these steps:

1. Go into the 'Issues' section under 'Management' in the left-hand side navigation menu. Make sure the Status filter is off, or set to 'New' and 'Pending'. Select the issue you'd like to action

2. A pane will open on the right side of the screen, with all the issue details. There will be a 'Status' dropdown for you to update the issue status

3. Select 'Void' in the status dropdown. Press 'Save' to save your update

4. Once you've saved the status change, your issue will now appear with a 'Void' label in the Status column in the Register, so you still have a record of it

Note:

  • To view all your voided issues and generate a register, filter the Status column to 'Void'
