The Business Audit is a Core Workspace module that allows your company to self-audit 20 key areas of operation, including:

Each section contains 10 tailored questions, customised to your:
Industry
Stage of development
Corporate objective (e.g. Investment Ready, Growth Ready, Exit Ready)
You answer the questions and receive a detailed report showing:
Risk scoring
Completeness scoring
Bespoke recommendations for improvement
Once you have answered the questions, click “View Report” (top right corner) to generate your report.
A FREE KPI report is also provided while your Business Audit is being prepared.
Your report is downloadable as a PDF (the on-screen version is a thumbnail preview; the full report is extensive).
Q: How is the Business Audit different from the 2-Minute Test?
The 2-Minute Test includes 29 questions across 9 sections.
The Business Audit includes 20 sections, each with 10 tailored questions.
The Business Audit is significantly more detailed and structured, providing deeper risk analysis and actionable recommendations.
Q: Does the Business Audit cost extra?
No. The Business Audit is included within the Diligentsia Lite and Pro plans at no additional cost.
Q: Does performance in the Business Audit count towards certification?
Yes. Completion of the Business Audit module is required for eligibility for:

Diligentsia certification. Once completed, your module score will be visible. Certification scoring incorporates both risk and completeness metrics.
Q: Can I revisit and update my audit later?

Q: What's preventing me from answering 'yes' to every question to boost my score?
Technically, nothing prevents this. However:
Incorrect responses will not genuinely improve your business
Advisors and investors may review your audit during due diligence
Artificially inflating answers undermines the purpose of the audit
The value lies in identifying real gaps and addressing them.
Q: Will investors and advisors see our Business Audit results automatically?
No. Your Business Audit results are only visible to:
Authorised internal users
External parties if you grant permission
You control access.
Q: Is the audit report exportable?
Yes. The report can be exported in PDF format.

Q: How long does an audit take?

Q: My Completeness Score is not updating.
Scores update in real time. Try refreshing your dashboard. Ensure all required questions are answered.
Q: My Risk Score seems incorrect. How is it calculated?
Risk scores are calculated based on your responses and the risk profile associated with those responses.
Review your answers for accuracy if the score seems inconsistent.
Q: Can I reset my scores?
Scores cannot be manually reset.
However, updating your answers will automatically recalculate your scores.
Q: My risk score remains high even after completing sections.
A high risk score may indicate:
Weak internal processes
Missing controls
Incomplete documentation
Review the recommendations in your report and implement improvements.
Q: I cannot generate the audit report.
Ensure:
All sections are saved
Your responses have been recorded
Then click View Report again. If the issue persists, contact support.
