In the tutorial below, you will learn how to create and integrate a certificate in a course with Dokeos LMS (creator of e-learning solutions that supports companies, training providers and multinationals in their online training projects)

Create your certificate with Adobe Acrobat (paying)

1. Create the base of your certificate in an image processing software and download / save it in PDF format

Example on Canva:

2. Open Adobe Acrobat and in "Tools", select "Prepareform"

3. Then click on "Select a file" to search and locate the PDF file you previously created on Canva (or Illustrator)

4. Click on Start:

Acrobat creates the form and opens it in the Form Editing mode. The right-hand pane displays options for editing the form. The toolbar contains form field tools for adding additional fields.

5. Review the form fields Acrobat created

Add fields using the form field in the toolbar tools. Delete, resize or organize the fields according to your needs.

Required field type: textfields. They allow entering text (name, address, telephone number, etc.).

Attention: during the creation of the certificate in Adobe Acrobat, write the fields in the same manner indicated below, otherwise they will not be detected. In addition, you are not obliged to put them ALL.

The system detects the following fields for your certificates:

  • Fields to be completed by the creator: title, skills, group_name, company_name, address, phone_number

  • Fields automatically managed by the system: date, participant_name, score, time_spent

6. Test the form

Click on the Preview button in the toolbar. Previewing a form allows you to view the form the same way the form recipients will and gives you a chance to verify the form. If you are previewing a form, you can click the Edit button to go back to the edit mode.

7. When you have finished your certificate, save it as a PDF. Simply import it on your portal by following the tutorial below:
