How to use and manage the sub-portals with Dokeos LMS

In the tutorial below, you will understand how to use the sub-portals with Dokeos LMS (creator of e-learning solutions that supports companies, training providers and multinationals in their online training projects)

Note:  regarding the management of the courses, it is done in the main portal but
           EVERYTHING else occurs directly in the sub-portal.

1. The first step is to create your sub-portal (in the main portal)

2. Customize the sub-portal (in the sub-portal)

3. Create user filters (in the sub-portal)

4. Register users (in the sub-portal)

Once the sub-portal is created, the user ADMINISTRATOR of the main portal can log on the sub-portal and create (import) users.

Important : In a sub-site (= sub-portal), there cannot be any TRAINER role. The courses are always created and managed from the main portal.

In a sub-portal, we can have administrators, learners, managers and group managers.

5. Create groups (in the sub-portal)

6. Create course categories (in the main portal)

8. Create courses (in the main portal)

In the main portal, in each course, you can select for which sub-portal(s) you make it available:

A. In the main portal

The TRAINER can manage himself the registration of participants or groups by sub-portal:

In the sub-portal either the ADMINISTRATOR registers learners to a course, or he creates groups with group managers who can register their learners to courses.

10. Create a catalog & pending validations (in the sub-portal)

11. Access to statistics

A. In the main portal
In the main portal the trainer can see the statistics by sub-portal.

B. In the sub-portal
In the sub-portal, the administrator can see the sub-portal statistics. It is accessed using the usual procedure: 

Administration > Account Status > Data
