Make sure you have administrator rights before starting.

Accessing the authentication options management page

  • Log in to the Portal: Sign in to your portal using an administrator account.

  • Access the Settings: In the main menu, click on Settings.

  • Open the Customization Section: Select the "Customization" option.

  • Navigate to the Authentication Options Tab: Click on the "Authentication Options" tab to access authentication-related settings.

1. Enable classic authentication

Activate the Login Form:

  • Check the box to enable classic authentication.

  • This will display a login form on the portal's homepage, allowing users to log in using their username and password.

Example: If you configure SSO (Single Sign-On) between Dokeos and your system, a button will appear on the login page, allowing users to log in without entering a username and password. In this case, you can disable classic authentication to simplify the login process and avoid redundancies.

2. Manage password preferences

Configure Password Settings:

  • Set rules for the minimum password length.

  • Require the use of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

  • Save changes to apply these preferences to user passwords.

3. Enable public registration

Add the Registration Button:

  • Check the box to enable public registration.

  • This will add a "Sign Up" button on the login page, allowing users to create an account on the portal without needing a prior invitation.

Warning :
By enabling public registration, any user with access to your portal can create an account autonomously using the registration link.
Ensure that this option aligns with your security and user management requirements.

4. Enable CSAM authentication for Belgium

Activate CSAM Authentication:

  • Check the box to enable CSAM authentication if your portal is intended for users in Belgium.

  • This option allows integration with the CSAM authentication system.

5. Enable Ypareo authentication

Configure Ypareo authentication:

  • Check the box to enable Ypareo authentication.

Provide the required information:

  • Authentication URL: Enter the URL provided by Ypareo.

  • Token: Input the authentication token.

  • Token Endpoint: Enter the token endpoint.

Save the changes

  • Once completed, save the modifications to establish the connection between Ypareo and Dokeos.
