You will learn how to structure your surveys, add open-ended, single-choice, multiple-choice, and table-format questions.
Step 1: Access the survey module creation
Log in to Dokeos LMS with the Instructor role.
In the main menu, click on "My Modules".
Click the "+" button to add a new module.
Select "Survey Module" to start creating a survey for your learners.
Step 2: Configure the survey module
Enter a descriptive title in the "Title" field that clearly reflects the survey’s objective.
In the "Description" section, add a detailed explanation to provide context for learners.
Enter keywords to help users easily find the module. Press Enter after each keyword to save it.
Use the time slider to define the estimated duration of the survey in minutes.
By default, you are assigned as the instructor. To add or remove instructors, click on:
The "+" button to add an instructor.
The red cross to remove an instructor.
Step 3: Add questions to your survey
1. Open question
This question type allows learners to respond freely with a text.
Click "Question", then select "Open Question".
Enter the question text in the "Statement" field.
(Optional) Add extra instructions to guide learners.
To make the question optional, check the corresponding box.
Information:
Auto-save: Changes are automatically saved.
Click the red trash icon to delete a question
2. Single-choice question
Learners select only one answer from multiple options.
Click "Question", then select "Single-choice Question".
Enter the question text in the provided field.
Click "Add an answer" to insert multiple response options.
To make the question optional, check the corresponding box.
3. Multiple-choice question
Learners can select one or more correct answers.
Click "Question", then select "Multiple-choice Question".
Enter the question text in the provided field.
Click "Add an answer" for each response option.
Repeat the process to add multiple choices.
To make the question optional, check the corresponding box.
4. Table question
A structured format where learners compare elements using rows and columns.
Click "Question", then select "Table Question".
Enter the question text in the provided field.
(Optional) Add extra instructions for learners.
Add rows for each question or element being compared.
Add columns for the different response options.
