Assigning the right car to the right driver is critical to ensure insights and reimbursements are processed correctly in EEVEE Business. We'll walk you through the different steps:
STEP 1: Manage the ownership rights for the car
To securely authorise data access from the car, the rightful driver needs to authenticate using their unique account credentials (from the car manufacturer, e.g. Audi ID, MyBMW or Tesla account). Read more about this in our requirements description.
STEP 2: Make sure the new driver has an EEVEE account
In order to get the right insights & transactions matched with the right driver, an EEVEE account is required. The new driver will need to create an EEVEE account if they don't have one yet. Read more about getting started as a fleet driver here.
STEP 3: Let the new driver add the car to his/her account
Ultimately, the new driver will need to authenticate the vehicle through its EEVEE account. To do this, they'll need the login credentials (e.g. MyBMW or Tesla account, Audi ID, etc.).
If the driver already had a car linked to EEVEE Mobility it will not be switched to the main car. Please get in touch with us so we can change the car that is shown in the EEVEE Business platform to receive home charging reimbursements.
STEP 4: Invite the new driver to EEVEE Business
Allow the new driver to join your fleet, allowing you to see the data in EEVEE Business. Learn more about the driver setup procedure by reading this article. It is possible that you will see the same vehicle for 2 drivers now. You can remove the vehicle from the first driver by clicking the trash icon on the vehicle details page (via the 'Fleet overview' tab).
Please note the car data will be assigned to the new driver effective immediately. To avoid incorrect data processing, you should therefore perform this process as quickly as possible. If you would like to have the transfer take effect on a specific date in the past, please contact us with your request. You can send us a message (via the chat bubble in the bottom right corner) or via talk@eeveemobility.com mentioning the data of transfer, VIN of the car and the 2 relevant drivers.

Why is the driver input required to transfer a car?
We realize it would be much easier if a fleet manager could just transfer the car ownership from one driver to another all without leaving EEVEE Business. However, these restrictions were put in place by the car manufacturers for security purposes. Since they work with car ownership linked to accounts, we can not bypass this system. But please note it's still much simpler than removing a charging station that was installed at an employee's home ;)
