Learn about connected services, ownership rights and more

Updated over a week ago

In order to add vehicles to your fleet, you will need to ensure they are configured correctly.

What do you need to manage vehicles with EEVEE Business?

  1. Have a vehicle that is compatible with EEVEE.

  2. Enable connectivity services for your fleet vehicles.

  3. Ensure the ownership rights are configured correctly.

We'll explore the different requirements below:

1. Have a vehicle that is compatible with EEVEE.

Although we are working hard with manufacturers to get them connected to EEVEE, not all car makers are already technically or legally capable to offer connectivity services to partners like EEVEE. However we do support a wide range of cars. Check it out here.

2. Enable connectivity services for your fleet vehicles.

All cars are becoming "connected cars". This unlocks wonderful new capabilities but also comes with some technical complexity. Every manufacturer has its unique procedures to unlock and manage the connected services. Some of them work 'out of the box', while other cars need to run a specific software version or enable connectivity via settings.

To see the requirements for specific brands, please check out their sub-pages:

  • BMW & MINI - Requires a connected drive subscription (comes with every car)

  • Škoda - Requires a specific software version and enable location sharing

  • For other brands, please consult our general overview here

If you are experiencing issues with the car connectivity, talk to us via the chat bubble in the bottom right corner of this page. We'd be happy to help you.

3. Ensure the ownership rights are configured correctly.

As a consequence of the connectivity, cars now also often work with specific ownership rights. Most cars are linked to specific login credentials, such as the MyBMW account, the Audi ID or Tesla account.

Some cars are privately owned, others are bought by a company and many firms use lease companies to manage their fleet administration. In order to connect a vehicle to EEVEE, the ownership rights have to be configured correctly. This is to ensure maximum security, where only the rightful driver will be able to access its vehicle data.

Configuration of ownership depends on the car brand and purchase method.

  • If you work with a lease firm, please ask them to configure the rightful driver

  • If the car is privately held, log in to the account and manage the settings there

E.g. Read the instruction to transfer Tesla ownership
