Revenue

This article explains everything about the forecasted and realised revenue in Eitje, and how to get your revenue into Eitje.

Updated over a week ago

In Eitje, you can gain insight into your financial data, such as revenue.

There are two types of revenue you can see:

  • The forecast of the revenue in the planning

  • The revenue result in the time registration.

💡 Tip: You can find the revenue at the bottom of the planning or the hours page. If you don't see the revenue, check under the 'Show' button to see if the revenue display is enabled.

Difference between revenue forecast and revenue results

The financial data (revenue, labour productivity, labour costs, and labour costs percentage) can be seen both in the planning and the time registration. The schedule provides a forecast of these figures, while the time registration shows the actual results achieved.

In the schedule (planning), you get a forecast of your expected revenue compared against the shifts planned. In the time registration, you see your actual realised revenue compared against the hours worked.

Revenue settings

Your revenue forecast needs to be based on something. There are two settings possible for this:

  • Base the revenue on the previous four weeks (default setting): on a Monday, you see the revenue from the past four Mondays added together and divided by 4.

  • Base the revenue on same-day sales from last year: you see the same revenue from the same day a year ago.

If you choose to base the revenue on the same day last year, you can also specify the growth percentage compared to last year.

You can find these settings under the 'Settings' button in the revenue section.

⚠️ Note: Can't see the revenue forecast? Check whether there is past revenue data available.

Retrieve revenue via POS system

You can easily see your revenue in Eitje by activating an integration with a POS system. This way, your revenue is automatically retrieved from the cash register. This article explains how to set up an integration, but you can also check it per POS:

The integrations retrieve your revenue live (once per hour), allowing you to make immediate adjustments if necessary.

➡️ Is your POS system not on the list? Then you can also manually fill out the revenue.

👉 We are always looking for new collaborations. Is the company you're working with missing on the list? Please contact us through this page so we can discuss if an integration is possible.

Add revenue manually

If you don't have an integration with a POS system or prefer to enter your own forecast, you can follow these steps to input your revenue forecast and/or revenue realisation:

  1. Navigate to 'Planning' in the menu at the top.

  2. Ensure that the revenue is enabled on under the 'Show' button.

  3. At the bottom of the page, a row will appear with the revenue.

  4. Click on 'Revenue' at the bottom, then choose 'Forecast' or 'Realisation'.

  5. Enter the revenue for each day.

⚠️ Note: In the planning, you can only enter revenue for today and days in the future. In the time registration, you can only enter revenue for today and days in the past.

💡 Tip: You can also import revenue from a file. The file must be formatted as follows: eitje_example_revenue_import (1).xlsx You can upload this file by clicking on 'Settings' and then 'Import'. You can import both the forecasted and realised revenue. You can also select the revenue group for which you want to import revenue.

Manage revenue groups

Creating revenue groups and managing the distribution of labour costs will affect the revenue shown. Make sure these are correctly set up.
