In Eitje, you can gain insight into your financial data, such as revenue. There are two types of revenue you can see:
The forecast of the revenue in the schedule ('Planning')
The revenue result in the time registration ('Hours')
💡 Tip: You can find the revenue at the bottom of the planning (forecast) or the hours page (results). If you don't see the revenue, check the 'Show' button to see if the revenue display is enabled.

Difference between revenue forecast and revenue results
Revenue forecast: In the schedules (planning), you can view your projected revenue alongside the cost of scheduled shifts. Eitje generates a revenue forecast based on your revenue data. With this projection, you can also see key metrics such as expected labour productivity, labour cost budget, and labour cost percentage for that day.
Revenue results: On the 'Hours' page (time registration), you can see your actual revenue compared to the hours worked. This gives you insight into your actual labour productivity, and labour cost percentage for that day.
On both the 'Planning' and 'Hours' pages, use the 'Show' button to select which revenue-related information you want to display. This data is available to Admins and users with the 'Financial' role.
Revenue settings
To create a revenue forecast, Eitje needs a data source. You can choose from two options:
Previous four weeks (default setting)
Eitje looks at the same weekday from the past four weeks.E.g.: On a Monday, it adds the revenue from the last four Mondays and calculates the average.
Days with no revenue (e.g. future dates or days you were closed) are not included in the calculation.
Same day last year
Eitje uses the revenue from the exact same date one year ago. With this setting, you can also enter a growth percentage to adjust the forecast.
E.g.: If your revenue increased by 10% compared to last year, you can enter +10%.
You can find these settings in the revenue section (either on the 'Planning' page or 'Hours' page):
⚠️ Note: Can't see the revenue forecast? Check whether there is historical revenue data available.
Retrieve revenue from your POS system
You can easily display your revenue in Eitje by activating an integration with your POS system. This allows your revenue to be automatically retrieved from the till.
This article explains how to set up the integration. You can also view the steps for your specific POS system.
Any integration will retrieve and your revenue every hour, allowing you to make immediate adjustments if necessary.
➡️ Is your POS system not on the list? Then you can also manually enter revenue.
👉 We are always looking for new collaborations. Is the company you're working with missing on the list? Please contact us through this page so we can discuss if an integration is possible.
Add revenue manually
If you don't have an integration with a POS system or prefer to enter your own forecast, you can follow these steps to input your revenue forecast and/or revenue realisation:
Navigate to 'Planning' in the menu at the top.
Ensure that the revenue is being displayed (if not: use the 'Show' button).
At the bottom of the page, a row will appear with the revenue.
Click 'Revenue' at the bottom, then choose 'Forecast' or 'Realisation'.
Enter the revenue for each day.
⚠️ Note: In the planning, you can only enter revenue for today and days in the future. In the time registration, you can only enter revenue for today and days in the past.
💡 Tip: You can also import revenue from a file. The file must be formatted as follows: eitje_example_revenue_import (1).xlsx You can upload this file by clicking on 'Settings' and then 'Import'. You can import both the forecasted and realised revenue. You can also select the revenue group for which you want to import revenue.
Manage revenue groups
Creating revenue groups and managing the distribution of labour costs will affect how the revenue is shown. Make sure these are set up correctly.
Learn more about what revenue groups are, or click here for more information about managing revenue groups and the distribution of labour costs.
Revenue seems incorrect or incomplete
Does the revenue in Eitje not match the figures shown in your POS system? Often, this is because a revenue group is set up incorrectly. Or it could be even simpler: you might be looking at the revenue in ‘Planning’ instead of ‘Hours’.
If you don’t see any revenue data in Eitje, the integration may no longer be active.
If any issues, follow these steps to verify the problem:
First, check if the POS system is switched on.
Verify that the integration is active; the connection might have been broken. To do this, go to 'Data' in the main menu, and select 'Integrations'. Reactivate the integration if necessary.
Check the integration settings. You can find these by clicking the three dots on your POS integration, then 'Configure'. The integration will only work if all revenue groups from the POS system are properly assigned to revenue groups in Eitje. It’s possible that a new revenue group has been added but not yet assigned. Each revenue group must be checked under either 'Total' or 'Inactive'.
If you work with multiple venues, also verify under 'Venues' in the integration settings that the relevant location is correctly linked.
Manage your revenue groups. In the venue settings of your Eitje account, you will find the labour cost allocation. Here, you can create and manage groups.
