How to Edit a Design After It's Been Created

How to make post-creation edits to designs in Enerflo, including changing mounting type or roof material on Aerialytic, Aurora, and Scanifly designs, updating the consumption profile, adding or removing a battery, and archiving or unarchiving a design.

Several design properties can be edited after a design has been created, without needing to submit a new design request. The options available depend on which design tool was used.

Changing Mounting Type or Roof Material

Mounting type and roof material can be edited directly on completed designs for Aerialytic, Aurora, and Scanifly designs. These fields are important for adder activation β€” if your org uses adder presets for mounting type or roof material, the values set here determine which adders fire on proposals using this design.

Designs can be edited from the design stage by clicking on the design card, or directly from the proposal by clicking Modify Design under the design selection dropdown.

Once the design card is open, expand the Modify Design menu, and locate the Mounting Type and Roof Material fields. Update them as needed, and click Update Design or Save to save the changes β€” a new design does not need to be created for these fields to take effect.

Updating the Consumption Profile

The consumption profile affects the utility and usage data used for proposal pricing and forecasting. Use the same steps as above to open the modify design menu, and select the appropriate consumption profile.

Aurora and Scanifly - All designs using these tools will use the same consumption profile to ensure consistency between Enerflo and the design tool. Changing the profile on one design will change it on all. Editing the consumption profile on any design will not be allowed if there is a locked design due to being included in a finalized proposal, in order to maintain this consistency.

Aerialytic - Each design may have a separate consumption profile if desired.

Adding or Removing a Battery

Open the Modify Design menu as above. Click +Add Battery to add a battery, or use the Recommendations link to open the battery sizing tool.

Select the battery type, quantity, and purpose:

To add an additional type of battery, click +Add Battery again and repeat.

To remove a battery, click the trash can icon next to the quantity.

Archiving a Design

Aurora and Aerialytic designs can be archived from the Designs stage.

  1. Navigate to the Designs stage on the deal.

  2. Click the three dots (β‹―) on the design card.

  3. Select Archive Design.

The entire design request can be archived as well, if a new design request is needed (such as to move the pin location). Navigate to Design Requests, click the three dots in the top right of the request box, and click Archive Request.

πŸ’‘ Note: If a design is currently linked to a proposal, the Archive Design option will be greyed out. You must first reassign the proposal to a different design before archiving is possible. See Archiving an Aerialytic Design That's Being Used in a Proposal for a step-by-step workaround β€” the same process applies to any design tool.

Viewing or Unarchiving a Design

Archived designs are hidden from the default view on the Designs stage. To find them, click the three dots next to the Designs header, and click Show Archived.

To unarchive, click the three dots on the Design Request or the design card, and click Restore:
