How to Cancel or Refund an Order in Shopify

When selling tickets for an event, there may be times when you need to cancel or refund orders for specific customers. Shopify also provides a help page with more detailed information on this topic.

Here’s how to manage order refunds through Shopify:

  1. Find the Order: Go to the "Orders" page in Shopify and search for the customer's name or order information.

  2. Refund the Order: Once on the order page, you’ll see an action button at the top labeled "Refund." Tap this to start the refund process.

  3. Choose Line Items to Refund: You can select the specific line items you want to refund and return. Once you're done, click "Refund" at the bottom to complete the refund process.

How Will a Refund Affect Event Tickets?

If the order being refunded includes event tickets, Evey will not automatically cancel the tickets. However, you can change this setting. Go to Settings -> Order Settings in Evey and enable the option to automatically mark tickets as canceled when an order is refunded.
