How Do I Offer Group Tickets?

Steps to successfully set up and offer group tickets in your store.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

When it comes to organizing events for a large audience, smooth planning is essential. That's where Evey Events & Tickets steps in to help! With our group tickets, accommodating and securing seats for larger groups becomes effortless, ensuring that everyone enjoys a fantastic time.

Additionally, it is important to clearly communicate ticket details to customers to avoid confusion and ensure a smooth event experience.

Here are the steps on how to create, manage, and communicate group tickets effectively:

  1. Go to your Event Settings.

  2. Click the Tickets tab.

  3. Select Add ticket type.

  4. Enter a name for the group under Ticket Type.

  5. Check the Group ticket box.

  6. Set the group size based on how many attendees the group includes.

Note: You can choose to issue: To reduce confusion, specify in the ticket description that the displayed price covers the entire group and not an individual attendee. For example, include a note stating, "This ticket covers two attendees, and you will receive two tickets upon purchase."

  • One ticket per group member, or

  • A single ticket for the entire group to use at check-in.

However, the one-ticket-for-everyone option is only available for recurring events. When setting group ticket prices, ensure the listed price reflects the total cost for the entire group size. For instance, if a group ticket is for two attendees, the price should cover both individuals. This simplifies the checkout process and ensures all attendees are accounted for in a single transaction. Additionally, Evey does not support enforcing a minimum purchase quantity per order. Event organizers should plan their ticketing strategies accordingly and use group tickets as a workaround for scenarios requiring multiple attendees per purchase.
