You may receive orders without a date and time when using Evey Events & Tickets (Evey) with Recurring Events. This happens when a customer can click “Add to Cart” before the “Choose date/time” selector fully loads.
This is most common on slower internet connections or heavier themes, where buttons load at different speeds.
How It Happens
Recurring Events require buyers to pick a specific slot using “Choose date/time.”
On some stores, “Add to Cart” can appear a moment earlier than the date/time selector.
If a customer clicks “Add to Cart” before the selector finishes loading, the ticket can be added without a date/time.
What Customers Should See
On the product page, customers should click “Choose date/time” and select a slot. After a date/time is selected, they proceed to purchase.
Prevent Orders Without Date/Time
Delay the “Add to Cart” Button Until the Page Fully Loads
We can configure your store so “Add to Cart” appears only after the date/time selector is ready.
If you want this enabled, please get in touch with us and we’ll set it up for you.
Additional Tips
Keep the “Choose date/time” section placed above or close to “Add to Cart.”
Avoid custom theme code that renders “Add to Cart” before app widgets.
Test the product page on a slow connection to confirm the selector loads before the button.
