Using the Check-In App for Event Attendance
The check-in app is the fastest way to get your attendees into your event while also validating each ticket as they enter. You can download the app by clicking on the appropriate link based on your operating system.
Logging in to the Check-In App
To log in, use a check-in account that you set up inside the Evey app on Shopify. If you need help creating and adding check-in accounts, refer to this Getting Ready For Your Event article.

Main Events Screen
Once logged in, you'll land on the main events screen, where you can see all the events set up in the Evey app. To quickly access a list of attendees or search for one, tap on an event. From there, you can search for an attendee by name.
Green check marks next to their names indicate that they have already been checked in.
Scanning Tickets
The app's primary function is scanning tickets. Here's how to scan tickets using the check-in app:
To begin, tap on the “Scan” button at the bottom.
On the scan screen, point your camera toward the ticket's QR code. The app will take you to a check-in screen for that ticket, where you can review the information to verify its validity.
When you're ready, click the green “Check-in” button to mark the ticket as scanned. If the ticket has already been scanned and the attendee is checked in, a red check-in button will appear with information about the previous scan, including which check-in account was used.
To scan the next ticket, tap the “Scan” button again. You can also flip the camera to use the front-facing camera for check-in.
Settings
The final button at the bottom leads to the “Settings” menu.
Here, you can sign out, clear locally stored data, or change your check-in account password. You can also connect an external scanner to the app if you prefer not to use the built-in camera.
Automatic Check-In
A new feature allows the app to automatically check in attendees when a ticket is scanned. This eliminates the need to leave the scan screen after each ticket is scanned. Instead, the app will automatically mark the attendee as checked in and display a green banner at the top of the app, confirming that the ticket is valid and unused.
If the ticket has already been used, a red banner will appear.
