If you update the ticket inventory within Evey and the number displayed doesn't match what you entered, this is usually caused by multiple locations being enabled on the Shopify product behind your event.
What's Happening
When you create an event in Evey, Shopify automatically generates the corresponding ticket product with inventory tracked across all active locations on your store, not just one.
When you update the ticket inventory inside Evey, that change is only applied to one location. If your store has more than one location enabled (for example, multiple warehouses), the total inventory shown can still reflect the combined stock across all locations, so it won't match the number you just entered.
How to Fix It
Go to your Shopify Admin → Products
Find the ticket product for your event
Check the Inventory section to see which locations are enabled
Disable inventory tracking for the locations you don't use for this event, leaving only the correct location enabled (for example, the warehouse you actually fulfill tickets from)
Return to Evey and update the ticket inventory again to confirm it now displays correctly
Why This Happens
Locations in Shopify are generated automatically and aren't specific to any one event. If your store has more than one location set up (even if you only actively use one for events), every new event product will include all of them by default. Until the extra locations are disabled for that product, Evey's inventory updates will only affect one location while the storefront reflects the total across all enabled locations.
Preventing This for Future Events
Each time you create a new event, check the product's Inventory section in Shopify and disable any locations you don't intend to use before publishing. This will keep the ticket inventory accurate from the start.
If you run into this and aren't sure which locations to disable, feel free to reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to take a look.
