How long are gift cards valid for?
All gift cards purchased on or after 20 September 2023 are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
What are the exchange and renewal policies?
Our gift cards are non-refundable but can be exchanged at any time in any of the workshops on our website. All the gift vouchers sold on the site are generic Wecandoo gift vouchers, issued by Wecandoo and then linked (or not) to your workshops. This allows customers to exchange their workshop for another. Every day, dozens of gift cards are exchanged from one workshop to another: you therefore sometimes receive customers who were initially associated with another workshop, just as some of your associated customers sometimes go to another workshop.
Gift cards purchased before 20 September 2023 are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase!
To request an extension, customers can write to us at any time. We consider all requests on a case-by-case basis. Especially if your workshops are seasonal! Our main goal is for customers to do a Wecandoo workshop.
What happens when a gift card expires?
Gift cards that have not been used by the end of the validity period will be redeemed by Wecandoo. The Wecandoo service has been provided, and if the gift voucher has not been used, the workshop has not been provided by the craftsman as such.
Wecandoo's service is everything that happens before the workshop:
Content creation (your workshop pages)
Customer acquisition (through extensive investment in advertising, partnerships, working with influencers, press and events)
Regular follow-up with personalised, dynamic emails
Customer & artisan support (helping customers navigate the website and make purchases, helping them manage their bookings, acting as a liaison in complicated situations, etc.).
As we explained at the beginning of this article, we do of course extend the majority of gift cards on request, and even manually re-create codes on a case-by-case basis after the expiry date. We directly reinvest the amount of expired gift cards, which allows us to manage them properly and reissue them on request 🙏
