Sending surveys to your contacts is an efficient way to get to know them better. What do they like? What do they think you can do better? Knowing what your customers think of you might help you keep the relationship going and the customers active over time.

Among your feedbacks, you might want to include contact metadata, such as age, city, and all information you have in HubSpot so you can easily make segmentations and get to know your customers better.

Here is an example of how to insert “personalization tokens” to HubSpot so metadata can be available in the feedbacks:

  • You need to create an email campaign with the desired design of your company.

  • Once you have set up your design, you will need to add a button so customers can be redirected to Feedbackly’s survey.

  • After the button is added to the email body, you will indicate that is an URL in the “Link to” field (1), copy/paste the short URL link to Feedbackly’s survey and paste it in the “Link URL” field (2). You can see how to find short URLs in this article.

  • Finally, you can start adding up all the metadata with the HubSpot help right in the URL body. Here are some steps to consider when adding metadata to our links

Following the marked steps in the article, the URL section should look something like this:

  • Taking a closer look at the URL:

    • ?_= : Metadata group indicator.

    • email: : Name of the metadata field.

    • {{personalization_token('contact.email','-')}}; : HubSpot field name indicator.
