Summary

We have two options for manually entering credit card payments. Stripe and other credit card processing companies.

Key Points

  • Processing a credit card charge through another credit card processor

  • Processing a credit card charge through Stripe

  • Verifying a Stripe charge at a glance

Other credit card processing companies

When manually adding the payment, if you're using another credit card processor, you select Credit Card as the payment type just so the system knows that a payment was made and it was made through another company besides Stripe.

Stripe

When you're using Stripe and you're manually making the payment in the browser, select the credit card at the bottom of the Method drop-down list. Selecting this entry charges the customer's credit card.

If you select Credit Card the card on file will not be charged!
YOU WILL NOT BE PAID!

When you're manually making the payment in the mobile app, select the credit card at the top of the Method drop-down list.

Verifying a Stripe charge at a glance

Go to the Payments tab.

  • A Stripe charge has a long alpha-numeric confirmation code starting with ch_

  • A payment charged as Credit Card has no confirmation code

  • A Stripe charge shows the brand of card, expiration date and the last four digits of the credit card number

  • A payment charged as Credit Card has no other information to show

If you want to remove Credit Card as a payment option, see: Settings - Payment Methods
