Android devices from time-to-time will suddenly have inconsistent behavior. Follow the steps below to resolve it.
Most times clearing the cache resolves the problem. Make sure your device is not more than 4 years old. If all else fails, delete and reinstall the app.
The Android OS occasionally holds onto data longer and it needs to be cleared. To fix this, clear the cache and data from the Application Manager:
Go to the device's Settings
Tap Apps or Application Manager
Tap Clear Cache to clear the cache data
Turn off the device for 30 seconds and see if it works then.
If changes were made to any Settings in the browser and they do not appear in the app, reload data:
To reload data in the mobile app:
Save any unsaved Work Order in the mobile app.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner of the open Work Order.
Tap Save & Exit
Then, from the Calendar, tap the menu in the upper-left corner (the three lines)
Tap Reload Data
Tap Download or Yes
Tap Reload to any messages
If you are in the calendar, and there are no appointments for today, tap your finger and drag it down (release your finger) to refresh. Verify you're on the correct day.
Make sure you're logged in with an account that has a route. You can see only the appointments assigned to your route on the mobile app. If you're logged in as someone else or logged in as an account without a route, you won't see the appointments.
Note This will be updated in Fieldwork Office.
Which Android version are you running? Make sure it is the latest version.
Depending on your Android version follow these steps to find your version:
From the home screen, tap Settings
Tap About Phone or About Device
Tap Android Version
From the home screen, press the Settings button
Near the bottom, tap System and tap Advanced and then System update
(If you don't see "Advanced," tap About phone)
See your Android version and Security patch level
If none of this works, uninstall and reinstall the Fieldwork App:
Log out of Fieldwork
From the Android Home Screen - tap the SETTINGS icon
In the Settings menu, scroll to APPLICATIONS and tap APPLICATION MANAGER or Apps (this depends on the Android device you use)
In APPLICATION MANAGER tap Fieldwork
In the Fieldwork App Info screen, tap CLEAR DATA /CLEAR Cache
Turn the device off for 30 seconds, and turn it back on
Go to the Google Play Store and Download Fieldwork Mobile
