Summary

Android devices from time-to-time will suddenly have inconsistent behavior. Follow the steps below to resolve it.

Key Points

Most times clearing the cache resolves the problem. Make sure your device is not more than 4 years old. If all else fails, delete and reinstall the app.

General inconsistency:

The Android OS occasionally holds onto data longer and it needs to be cleared. To fix this, clear the cache and data from the Application Manager:

  1. Go to the device's Settings

  2. Tap Apps or Application Manager

  3. Tap Fieldwork

  4. Tap Clear Cache to clear the cache data

Turn off the device for 30 seconds and see if it works then.

If changes were made to any Settings in the browser and they do not appear in the app, reload data:

To reload data in the mobile app:

  1. Save any unsaved Work Order in the mobile app.

  2. Tap Save in the upper-right corner of the open Work Order.

  3. Tap Save & Exit

  1. Then, from the Calendar, tap the menu in the upper-left corner (the three lines)

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Reload Data

  4. Tap Download or Yes

  5. Tap Reload to any messages

Calendar
If you are in the calendar, and there are no appointments for today, tap your finger and drag it down (release your finger) to refresh. Verify you're on the correct day.

Make sure you're logged in with an account that has a route. You can see only the appointments assigned to your route on the mobile app. If you're logged in as someone else or logged in as an account without a route, you won't see the appointments.

Note This will be updated in Fieldwork Office.

Android Version
Which Android version are you running? Make sure it is the latest version.

Depending on your Android version follow these steps to find your version:

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings

  2. Tap About Phone or About Device

  3. Tap Android Version

-OR-
