Your SIN and payment details

Why we need your Social Insurance Number and payment details before you can book shifts.

Written by Stephen Paul

Before you can book a shift, we need two things from you: your Social Insurance Number (SIN) and your bank details. Until both are on your account and checked, the app won't let you apply for work.

If you try to book a shift and see a message about validating your trader status or payment details, this is what it means. It isn't a fault, and it isn't personal. Send us what's missing, and we'll sort it.

Your SIN is nine digits, written like 123-456-789. We need it because you're paid for the work you do, and we're required to record it.

Your bank details are how you get paid. You'll need your institution number, your branch (transit) number and your account number. Your account number will be somewhere between 7 and 12 digits.

We treat both as confidential. Only the onboarding and payments teams can see them, and care homes never do.

If you're stuck, or you've sent everything and still can't book, email us at hello.ca@florenceapp.com and we'll check your account.
