Florence contacts you in three ways: push notifications in the app, email, and text message.
We'd strongly suggest leaving push notifications on. New shifts are taken quickly, and a notification is often the only reason you hear about one in time. If you've turned them off, you'll see far fewer shifts in practice, even though the shifts are there.
We also use notifications for things you'll want to know: when a care home approves your application, when a document is about to expire, and when a timesheet needs your attention.
If you're not getting notifications, check your phone's settings first. Notifications can be switched off for an individual app without you realizing, usually under Settings, then Notifications, then Florence.
We'll text you about a shift that's starting soon if we need to reach you quickly. Please keep your phone number up to date so those reach you.
If you've checked your phone settings and still hear nothing, email us at hello.ca@florenceapp.com.
