If a worker cancels a shift they'd been approved for, the shift reopens automatically and goes back out to other workers nearby. You don't need to repost it.
When you hear from us depends on how close the shift is.
If there's plenty of notice, we don't tell you the instant it happens. There's a short window where the shift is already back out there and often gets picked up by someone else quickly, so the first you'd know is that a different worker is booked.
That's deliberate: most cancellations with notice refill themselves without you having to do anything.
If it's a last-minute cancellation, we tell you straight away, because that's when you need to make a plan.
Either way, you can see the current state of any shift in the dashboard, including whether anyone is booked.
If a shift is close and still unfilled, call us on 647-247-4916, and we'll chase it directly.
Workers can't cancel casually. They have to give a reason, tick that they accept our cancellation terms, and every cancellation affects their reliability rating.
You're not billed for a shift nobody worked. Billing comes from approved timesheets, so a cancelled shift that went unfilled simply doesn't appear on your invoice.
