How to Use the Rich Text Editor in your Work Orders

Updated this week

This release will only format work order descriptions and comments in FlowPath, your Email confirmations and Public View of Work Orders will still look the same as before.

Keep an eye out for the next update of this feature to see additional capabilities and formatting in your Work Order confirmation emails.

You may have noticed a new addition to your Work Orders description and comment section!

A toggle titled "Rich Text:"

A "copy" button has also been added, this allows you to easily copy the existing description and paste it into the Rich Text editor.

With the rich text editor you can Bold, Italicize, Underline, enlarge text, center text, add website links and and other formatting options.

Some of the formatting features include various header sizing, bulleted lists and quote formatting.

Don't forget you can also use this feature in your comments!

Lets add a website link in our comments!

In this example I have added "website" to represent the website I wish to add as a comment for my technicians to refer to.

You will highlight the word or words and select the Link symbol in the menu bar of the rich text editor

A box will appear with a pencil icon, which you will select in order to edit your link.

Once you have selected it, add your link.

In my example I have copied the website link to our help center https://intercom.help/flowpath/en/collections/10096970-work-orders

and pasted it into the field, making sure to clear the field first so I don't repeat "https://"

After you paste or type the link in you can hit Enter and click anywhere on the screen to close the box

If the link is active it will appear blue for the font color, you can click on the link to ensure you added the website link correctly.

We always recommend you test your link after hitting submit and if on your first try you did not add it correctly you can delete the comment and try again.

Tip: Reach out to your CSM or the whole team via the chat if you are unsure how to start using this feature and would like some additional guidance.

Pro Tip: Try creating a test work order to try this new feature.
