Update an existing equipment record using text, voice, or the live stream camera with QR code scanning.
Using text or voice
Open the AI Assistant from the equipment detail page, or reference the equipment from any page.
Tell the assistant what to change — serial number, location, condition, install date, or any other field.
The assistant updates the record.
Using live stream with QR code scanning
Navigate to an equipment record or the equipment list page.
Tap Live Stream to Update.
Point your camera at the QR code or barcode on the equipment. The assistant identifies the record.
Describe what needs to change and capture any new photos.
Tap Submit. The assistant updates the record and closes the modal.
What you can say
"Update this equipment — the serial number should be SN-5678XYZ."
"Change the condition to Fair and update the install date to January 2024."
"This unit was replaced — update the model to Carrier 48TM and add these photos."
Tips
QR code scanning is the fastest way to identify equipment in the field. Walk up to the asset, scan, describe what changed, and submit.
The live stream for updates closes after each submission (unlike create, which stays open for the next item).
