Many users in the field love being able to use or request inventory right from the work order they are working on.
From within a work order, you can use or request new inventory, as well as add to inventory if you are an admin.
To use current inventory, you select the "Use Current Inventory" button, which will bring up a section to select which item, from which location, and how much of that item. This will use the cost of that item when it was added to inventory.
To request inventory, you select the "Request Inventory" button, which will bring up a section to select or create the item being requested, from which source, how much it cost, and how many of that item is being requested. If you are not an admin, this will go into the "Requested" inventory status, if you are an admin, you can approve requests or add them straight into inventory.
There is also a version of this flow to purchase and use inventory in one button, but only for current organizations that don't keep inventory on-hand and have it enabled.
