A guide on how to set up Events for your members.

Introduction

If you're going to host a webinar, have an upcoming speaking engagement, or planning to host any other type of event, you can publish it on your platform using the Events feature. With Events, you can schedule free and paid happenings on your platform, which can be both online events or in-person events.

Published events on your platform will show up on "example.forento.app/events" and members with access will be able to easily RSVP and add the event to their own, external calendars (Such as iCal or Google Calendar).

How to create an event

To create an event, you must first go to https://app.forento.io/events and click "Create event".

Once you have done this, you will be able to enter details for your event.

When setting up the event, you'll be able to enter a Title, Short description, Description, Start & End date, Price (if paid), Location, and Video call link.

Title: A name for your Event.

Short description: A short description where you can summarize the Event in a sentence or two.

Description: Longer than the short description, and accepts text edits such as bullet point lists, bold, italics, and more.

Start & End date: A start time for your event

Price: If you select "is paid" you will be able to enter a price for the Event in your platform's set currency. Here is a separate guide on how to change your platform currency: πŸ’Έ Changing the currency of your platform

Location: Information about how and where your event will take place. Either a physical address or instructions for a digital event.

Video call link: a link to the event, in case the event is digital and you have a link ready)
