How to find the IMEI of your EarthRover

Updated today

The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique identifier for your EarthRover’s 4G module. You may be asked for it when troubleshooting connectivity or working with your SIM provider.

Follow the steps below to locate it:

  1. Turn on your EarthRover

    • Make sure the bot is powered on.

  2. Connect to the bot’s Wi-Fi

    • On your phone, open Wi-Fi settings.

    • Connect to frodobots_xx.

    • Password: 12345678 (default).

  3. Open the web panel

    • On your phone’s browser, go to http://192.168.11.1.

  4. Open the menu

    • Tap the ☰ (three lines) in the top-left corner.

  5. Select ā€œRobotā€

    • This opens the Robot Info page.

    • Scroll down to the Network Status section.

    • You’ll see the IMEI number listed there. e.g.: IMEI: 356789123456789

If You Don’t See the IMEI

  • If the IMEI is missing or the menu looks different, your robot is likely running an older firmware version.

  • Contact us at hello@frodobots.com (or via chat/Discord).

  • Our team will schedule a time with you to turn on your bot so we can update the firmware remotely.

  • After the update, repeat the steps above to find the IMEI.
