📋 Before You Start

Make sure you're ready for 2-Way Sync by confirming:

  • ✅ You’ve reviewed the 2-Way vs. 1-Way Sync behavior guide to understand what gets synced and how changes flow.

  • ✅ You know which Outlook accounts, mailboxes, and meeting rooms you want to sync.

  • ✅ You’ve decided the sync timeframe: how many days past events, and how many days into the future you want events to sync. (Recommended: 0 days past + 60-90 days future)

🛠️ Setup Process

  1. First, connect your Outlook Calendar with 1-Way Sync.

  2. Reach out to your Gable Account Manager or email support@gable.to to request enabling 2-Way Sync.

  3. Our team will enable 2-Way Sync after reviewing your setup and confirming your preferred settings.

⚠️ Important: 2-Way Sync can only be enabled by the Gable team. It is not a self-serve feature.

⚙️ Settings (Once 2-Way Sync is Enabled)

When 2-Way Sync is turned on, you’ll have settings you can customize:

📥 Import bookings from Outlook into Gable

Allow events made in Outlook Calendar to appear in Gable.

👥 Onboard new users and import their bookings

If someone who isn’t yet a Gable user is added to an Outlook Calendar event:

  • Main organizer – A Gable profile is created for the person organizing.

  • Invitees – A Gable profile is created for each invited guest.

🔕 Suppress Gable notifications

If enabled, notifications come only from Outlook for events, avoiding duplicates from Gable.

⏳ Sync data timeframe

Decide how far into the past and future events sync:

  • Days in the past → Recommended: 0

  • Days in the future → Recommended: 60-90

For example, setting it to 0 past days and 90 future days means past events aren’t backfilled, but all upcoming ones up to 90 days will sync.
