đ Before You Start
Make sure you're ready for 2-Way Sync by confirming:
â Youâve reviewed the 2-Way vs. 1-Way Sync behavior guide to understand what gets synced and how changes flow.
â You know which Microsoft Outlook meeting rooms you want to sync.
â Youâve decided the sync timeframe: how many days into the past, and how many days into the future you want events to sync. (Recommended: 0 days past + 60-90 days future)
đ ď¸ Setup Process
First, connect your Outlook Calendar with 1-Way Sync.
Reach out to your Gable Account Manager or contact support using the chat bubble in the bottom right corner or email support@gable.to to request enabling 2-Way Sync.
Our team will enable 2-Way Sync after reviewing your setup and confirming your preferred settings.
â ď¸ Important: 2-Way Sync can only be enabled by the Gable team. It is not a self-serve feature.
âď¸ Settings (Once 2-Way Sync is Enabled)
When 2-Way Sync is turned on, youâll have settings you can customize:
đĽ Import bookings from Outlook into Gable
Allow events made in Outlook Calendar will appear in Gable as a booking.
đĽ Onboard new users and import their bookings
If someone who isnât yet a Gable user is added to an Outlook Calendar event:
Organizers â A Gable profile is created for the person organizing the Microsoft Outlook event.
Invitees â A Gable profile is created for each invited guest.
đ Suppress Gable notifications
If enabled, notifications come only from Outlook for events, avoiding duplicates from Gable.
âł Sync data timeframe
Decide how far into the past and future events sync:
Days in the past â Recommended: 0
Days in the future â Recommended: 60-90
For example, setting it to 0 past days and 90 future days means past events arenât backfilled, but all upcoming ones up to 90 days will sync.
