Google SAML

Connect Google Workspace as your SSO provider for Gable with a custom SAML app.

βœ… Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure:

  • You are both a Gable Admin and a Google Workspace Admin

  • You are signed in to the Gable web app

Go to Company Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ SSO Provider β†’ Google SAML


πŸ› οΈ Step 1: Add a Custom SAML Application

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin Dashboard.

  2. In the left menu, expand Apps β†’ Web and Mobile Apps.

  3. Click Add App β†’ Add custom SAML app.

  4. In the wizard, on App details:

    • Name the app (e.g., "Gable").

    • (Optional) Add the Gable logo (downloadable from the Gable SSO settings page).

    • Click Continue.

  5. On Google Identity Provider details, click Download Metadata.

    • Click, Continue

    • Save this file for Step 4.


πŸ”— Step 2: Set Identity Provider Metadata

  1. Copy the ACS URL and Entity ID from Gable β†’ paste into the Google Admin dashboard.

  2. Click Continue.

  3. Under Attribute Mappings, add the following, and click finish:

Google Directory attributes

App attributes

First name

firstName

Last name

lastName


πŸ‘₯ Step 3: Configure User Access

  1. On the new app page, locate User Access β†’ Click View details using the down arrow.

  2. Toggle to turn the service ON for everyone.

  3. Click Save.


πŸ“‚ Step 4: Upload SAML Metadata File

  1. Upload the SAML metadata XML file (downloaded in Step 1) to Gable.

  2. Click Save.

  3. Click Test connection.

    • If successful, you’ll see the attribute mappings result.
