Creating an Event

Create and manage company events in Gable—whether they’re in-office, virtual, or hybrid—complete with invites, reminders, and RSVP tracking.

🚀 Create a New Event

Navigate to Company Events

  1. Click your profile dropdown

  2. Select Company Admin

  3. In the top-right corner, click Create Event


📝 Event Details

Add Basic Information

Fill in the following fields:

  • Event title

  • Short description

  • (Optional) Longer description for additional context

Set Date, Time, and Time Zone

  • Select the start and end date

  • Choose the start and end time

  • Select the time zone for the event

⚠️ If your selected office is in a different time zone, you’ll see a warning. This does not block event creation and can be safely bypassed.


🏷️ Tags & Hosts

Add Event Tags

  • Search existing Gable tags

  • Add custom tags if needed

  • Click suggested tags to add them quickly

Confirm Event Host

  • You’re automatically added as the event host

  • You may add additional hosts if desired

Click Next to continue.


🏢 Event Type & Location

Choose Event Type

Select one:

  • In-Person

  • Virtual

  • Hybrid

If Virtual or Hybrid, add a meeting link.


Select the Event Location

Choose one of the following:

  • Office – Select from your company’s offices

  • On-Demand Space – Select an existing on-demand booking

    If none appear, create an on-demand booking first, then return to this step

  • Other – Manually enter an address (e.g., offsite venue, theater)

You can also link the event to an existing booking if applicable.


👥 Invitations & Capacity

Privacy & Attendance Settings

  • Set the event as Private (invite-only) or Public (visible to the whole company)

  • Add a capacity limit if the space has attendance constraints
    → RSVPs will be capped automatically

Send Invites

  • Invite specific users

  • Invite departments

  • Or invite everyone at once

Click Next when ready.


🔔 Notifications & Reminders

Choose Notification Channels

Select how guests will be notified:

  • 📧 Email

  • 💬 Slack

  • 🧩 Microsoft Teams

Configure RSVP Reminders

By default:

  • One email reminder is sent 1 day before the event

You can:

  • Remove reminders entirely

  • Add multiple reminders

  • Customize:

    • Timing (e.g., 10 days before, 2 days before)

    • Audience (invited vs accepted)

    • Channels (email, Slack, Teams)


✅ Publish the Event

Publish

Click Publish to:

  • Create the event

  • Send invitations

  • Make the event available for viewing and RSVP


📊 Manage & Track Your Event

View Event Details

From the event page, you can:

  • Add the event to your calendar

  • Accept or decline invitations

  • Track RSVP status in real time

  • Monitor capacity with a visual progress bar


Manage Events from Company Events

Back on the Company Events page:

  • View all events

  • See accepted attendees

  • Click the three-dot menu to:

    • View

    • Edit

    • Manage RSVPs

    • Cancel the event
