Connect CLARA with Workable to automatically screen and score candidates — all within your existing recruiting workflow.

This guide explains how to connect CLARA with Workable. This integration allows you to automatically process candidates, sync statuses, and send follow-up questions — all without leaving Workable.

Use this guide if your team uses both CLARA and Workable as part of your recruiting workflow.

🧰 What you'll need before getting started

Before starting, make sure you have:

Partner Admin access in CLARA
Workable Admin access (required for API token creation)
Your Workable subdomain (the part before .workable.com — usually your company name)

Note: Without the permissions above, you will not be able to complete the setup.

🧭 How to connect CLARA with Workable

Part 1: Connect

In Workable, go to Settings → Integrations → Apps.
Click Generate an API token. Give the token a name and set an expiration date.
Select the following API scopes: r_candidates, r_jobs, r_requisitions, w_candidates, r_account, w_comments, w_departments, r_timeoff, w_requisitions.

Click Generate and copy the API token. Store it securely — you will not be able to view it again after closing the modal.

Log into CLARA and go to Settings → Integrations. Select Workable from the list.

Paste your API token into the API Token field and enter your Workable subdomain. Click Connect to ATS.

Part 2: Configure

Configure Candidate Processing. Select which Workable jobs you'd like CLARA to process. You can also import jobs at any time from the Import Jobs option on your Integrations page.

Configure Map Actions. Toggle the switch to enable CLARA to synchronize statuses with Workable. Click Next: Follow-up Questions.

Configure Follow-up Questions. Select which candidate statuses should trigger CLARA follow-up questions. This can also be set up later.

Click Submit.

📌 What syncs between CLARA and Workable

Once enabled, the integration will:

Sync jobs from Workable into CLARA
Sync candidates from Workable into CLARA for screening and scoring
Sync candidate statuses between CLARA and Workable (when Map Actions is enabled)
