Using Recipe Books
Updated over a year ago

You can add a recipe to as many recipe books as you like. Use recipe books to organize your content based on any category, project, station, season, menu type, really anything you like! See how to add your first Recipe Book Here.

Recipe Book "Ownership" Settings

  • When you create a Recipe Book, it will only be visible to Team Members who are assigned to at least one of the same Concepts or Locations as the Recipe Book.

  • Once you've created a Recipe Book and assigned it a Concept and Location, you cannot change this setting. If you want to change the "ownership" of a Recipe Book, you will need to create a new one and add the contents of the original book to it.

Adding and removing recipes from a Recipe Book

You can add and remove recipes from a recipe book from the home page or from the detail page of a recipe book. You can also do so when creating a new recipe. When you add or remove recipes from a recipe book, any one with access to that book or the Location it is assigned to will be able to see the new recipes (or lose access to ones that were removed from the book).

IMPORTANT: Recipe Books in your account are only visible to team members assigned to at least one of the same Concepts or Locations as the Recipe Book.

Deleting a Recipe Book

When you delete a recipe book, you are not deleting the recipes within that book, just the book itself. Any recipes within that book will still be available from search, the home page, and in any other recipe books those recipes live in. Learn how to delete here

Printing a Recipe Book

You can print one or multiple recipe books at the same time! Printing a recipe book will print all of the recipes in that book (currently, sub recipes will only be printed if you also include those recipes in your book). Learn how to print here

Share a copy of a Recipe Book

You can share a copy of a recipe book(s) including all of the recipes and sub-recipes within it to anyone in the world. If they don't have a meez account yet, they will be able to create a free account to view your book. This copy will be a version just for them, and they will not see any updates you make to your recipe book or the recipes within. Learn how to share copies here

Grant view-only access to a recipe book

If you have a Business or Premium subscription, you can grant view-only access to any recipe book(s) including all of the recipes and sub-recipes within it instantaneously to anyone in the world. If the receiver does not have a meez account, they will be able to create a free account to view the recipe book and it's recipes.

  • The viewer will see all updates you make to the recipe book in real time as well as any new recipes you add to the book

  • If you remove a recipe from a recipe book, the viewer will then lose access to that recipe as well

  • You can see who has Viewer access to a Recipe Book or remove access to the book by going to the "Additional Details" menu in the Recipe Book (right next to the "Share" menu) and clicking on "Access".

  • You can also remove Viewer access from the Manage Team page in your account.
