Understanding the "Viewer" permission

What to know when someone shares view-only recipes with you.

Updated over 10 months ago

If you've been invited to join another account as a Viewer, check out this article for instructions on how to get access to the shared account.

Once you're in, here's what you'll be able to do with the recipes shared:

  • You can view the recipes any time you log into your account. Including ingredients and quantities, prep method, and pictures and videos

  • You can convert units of measure on ingredients and recipe yields (learn more here)

  • You can scale the recipes by batch size, total yield, or by the amount of just one ingredient (click here to learn more about scaling a recipe in meez)

  • You can Print recipes (learn more here)

  • You can leave comments on recipes and see other team members' comments

You can see which Concepts you have access to and what kind of access you have by clicking the "All" menu at the top left of your meez home screen. You'll see the word "viewer" next to any Concepts where you have Viewer access. Like this:

If you'd like more access to the recipes shared with you - including making edits, access to ingredient details, costing, nutrition, and sharing - please contact the owner of the recipes to upgrade your access level to Editor or Manager.
