Meaning of 'In queue' and how to move these prospects to a different campaign

Written by Camila

When a prospect shows the "In queue" status, it means they've been approved for outreach and are waiting for the system to send their connection request. This article explains why that happens and how to move them to a different campaign if needed.

What "In queue" means

A prospect reaches "In queue" once you approve them. From that point, the system handles the sending automatically, spacing out connection requests across the day to protect your account on The Outreach Platform. The prospect stays in queue until their request is sent or the campaign is paused.

What defines this status

  • Prospect approved: The prospect was reviewed and accepted, ready to enter the sending sequence.

  • Regulated sending: The system sends 15 to 25 connection requests per day to keep your account safe and within normal activity limits.

  • Active campaign required: Prospects only move forward if the campaign they belong to is active. A paused campaign puts all queued prospects on hold.

Why this is good for you

  • The daily sending limit keeps your account from being flagged for high-volume activity, which protects your outreach long-term.

  • Prospects in the queue can be moved to another campaign or removed at any time without interrupting any active sequence.

How to move queued prospects to a different campaign

  1. Go to the Prospects tab.

  2. Click the Queue filter to show only prospects currently in queue

  3. Click the checkbox to the left of the prospect(s) you want to move

  4. Click the 'Selected' button → choose 'Move to campaign'

  5. In the pop-up, click 'Select campaign' and choose the destination

  6. Click 'Move prospects' to confirm

Can I stop or edit a message that's about to be sent?

  • To stop the message: Open the Messages tab and pause the sequence for that individual prospect using the button in the top-right of the screen. Once paused, nothing further will be sent for that prospect.

  • To edit the message: Update the text directly in the Messages tab before it's sent. The change is picked up automatically for the next send.
