Discover Automations

Step 1: How to create an automation and build new scenarios

The Automations page lets you create, manage and turn on all your WhatsApp flows.
Each row is an automation, with its trigger, its status and its performance.

Tabs: Live / Draft

  • Live
Shows all active automations, currently in production and able to receive contacts.

  • Draft
Groups the flows being created or edited.
👉 A draft flow doesn't run until it's turned on.

The flow's on/off switch.

  • ON: the flow is active and can receive contacts

  • OFF: the flow is turned off and no longer runs

👉 You can turn a flow on or off at any time, without deleting it.

Search bar

The search bar helps you quickly find an automation by its name.

"Create" button

The Create button lets you create a new automation.
You'll then be guided through choosing the trigger, setting up the flow and turning it on, with the help of the template library.

"⋯" menu

The menu on the right of each row gives access to more actions, such as:

  • Edit the flow

  • Duplicate the flow as a flow or as a campaign

  • Delete the flow

Flow editor

This page opens when you click one of your automations.

This is where you build your automation's journey by connecting a trigger to actions (reply, conditions, opt-in, etc.).

On this screen, you can:

  • see the flow's starting point (Trigger)

  • add and connect the different blocks

  • test, edit and fine-tune the automation's behavior

  • see its performance once the flow is active

👉 To learn how to create and set up each block, see our guide to the Flow Builder.

Performance

The Performances tab lets you analyze the business impact and engagement generated by a WhatsApp flow over a given period.

This is where you measure whether your automation meets its goals: conversations, conversions, revenue and costs.

At the top of the page, two filters help you refine your analysis:

  • Attribution
Choose the event attribution is based on (e.g. message read, clicked, etc.).

  • Time period
Select a specific period and compare the results with the previous period.

Best practices

  • Always check that a flow is turned on before testing a trigger

  • Use clear names to quickly identify your automations

  • Turn off outdated flows rather than deleting them

  • Regularly check the Times triggered column to analyze usage
