Unitize

Unitize a vector

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Use this when you want to normalize a vector to length 1 within a flow, for example ensuring consistent directional offsets regardless of input magnitude.

Unitize, or Normalize, is used to make a vector of any length have a length of 1 unit (whatever the unit).

This is very useful when you care only about the direction, and you know the distance from other data. Then unitize your vector and multiply it by your otherwise known length, and you have a vector with both the direction and the length you wanted.
