Alerts and Charging Policies for B2B Fleets

The Alerts feature in Electra Business allows fleet managers to define charging policy rules for their fleet and be notified when a driver or badge deviates from them. It helps detect unusual consumption patterns and keep charging costs under control.

👥 Who has access to this feature?

All fleets using Electra Business have access — taxi, last mile, corporate — whether they use the Electra app or charging badges.

ℹ️ The €/kWh rule is the only exception: it is available exclusively for fleets on the eMSP network.

📋 What types of rules can I create?

There are 5 rule types:

  • Monthly budget per driver — get notified if a driver's total spending over the last 30 days exceeds the limit you've set.

  • Parking / overstay fees — detect sessions that generate excessive idle penalties.

  • Allowed days — be alerted when a driver charges outside the selected weekdays.

  • Geographic area — be alerted when a session takes place outside the allowed countries.

  • €/kWh (eMSP fleets only) — get notified when a session happens at a very expensive CPO (e.g. above €1.50/kWh).

🚫 Do the rules prevent my drivers from charging?

No. Rules are alerts only — they never block or interrupt a charging session. Your drivers can always charge. The rules simply inform you when a threshold is crossed.

🔔 How will I be notified when a rule is breached?

Two notification channels:

  • In-platform: Sessions that breach a rule are flagged with a ⚠️ icon in the charging history. Hovering over the icon shows which rule was breached (e.g. "Outside authorized countries", "Outside working days").

  • Weekly email digest: If you opt in, you receive a recap email every Monday at 8 AM summarizing all breaches from the past 7 days.

✏️ Can I edit or delete a rule?

Yes. From the Alerts tab, you can view all your existing rules and edit or delete them at any time.

  • After editing a rule, there is a 1-hour delay before the changes are applied to your past sessions.

  • When a rule is deleted, historical sessions are no longer flagged by it — the ⚠️ icon disappears from those sessions retroactively.

💡 When a new rule is created, it is applied retroactively to sessions from the past 3 months.

  8. Save the rule.
