Introduction

In this article we will see how to register the different payment methods with which we will charge our sales.

In Golfmanager we separate the payment methods in two:

  • Money (cash, card, transfer). These payments are the ones that we usually see physically in our cash desk and we try to balance at the end of each shift: coins, bills, dataphone tickets, or transfer receipts.

  • Virtual (vouchers). Forms of payment that we do not see physically and do not usually balance at the end of the day. It is usually used for vouchers or units. We call these payments virtual because, although we have cashed it, we do not physically see the money.

We will see these payment methods:

  • Offline. In the POS, in the payment window after clicking on "Finish". Each payment method will correspond to a button.

  • Online. Customers, when paying on the web, widget or app, will see the payment methods available online.

General

To configure a payment method, follow the steps below:

  • Name: In this field we will edit the name of the payment method. For example "Cash".

  • Text color: Select a text color for the POS button.

  • Background color: and a background color for that button.

  • Gateway: For Golfmanager a gateway is like a "payment type". Each payment type will act differently. Special mention for the Cash or Card gateways, which will add the collections of this form of payment to the total collected in cash and card for the cash balance at the end of the shift.

  • Active: Activate this option to be able to use this form of payment in our POS or web page.

  • Available at POS: Activate this option so that employees can view this form of payment when cashing out at the POS.

  • Available online: Activate this option to allow your customers to pay for their purchases online with this payment method. Normally vouchers and payment gateways (Redsys, Stripe) are activated.

  • Accounting account: Fill in this field if you want to export the payments to your accounting system.

  • Secondary currency: Use this field only if this payment method is a secondary currency, i.e. it is not your main currency. In this way we activate the mechanisms so that the system can operate correctly with more than one currency.

Virtual payment gateways

In order to accept online payments you will need a virtual payment gateway. There are several gateways connected to Golfmanager:

  • Redsys (Spain)

  • Global Payment (Spain and Portugal)

  • Authorize.net (USA, Canada, Europe, Australia)

  • Azul (Dominican Republic)

  • PayU (LATAM)

In the case of creating a new payment method for your website (Redsys, Stripe, etc.), we recommend that you do an online test. There is the possibility to have these gateways in test mode as well as test cards:

  • Stripe: 4242 4242 4242 4242 4242 4242 - Date: 04/24 - Code: 242

  • Redsys: 4548 8120 4940 0004 - Date: 12/34 - Code: 123
