Introduction

The cash register is an optional tool for the club that is used for::

  • Each till has a number of tickets associated with it, so it will affect the numbering of the tickets.

  • Each till can have its own POS buttons, so it can be useful for clubs with areas such as restaurant, racket, etc.

  • Each till can have a customised ticket header and footer, so it can be useful for clubs with areas such as restaurant, racket... or multi-company.

  • Please note that the system does not allow you to cash out if the cash desk is closed. So, in case you forget, every time you get to the cash desk or POS screen, the system will ask you to choose and open one of them.

Note: There are some clubs that open the till on the first day with Golfmanager and do not close it again, making no use of this tool. The system will still work and the cash drawer will be balanced with the sales and receipts reports.

How to open the till

  1. There are several ways to select the cashbox:

    a. Main menu / cashbox > Select cashbox.

    b. User menu (blue icon in the top right corner) > Select till.

    c. POS > Select till.

  2. Click on "Open".

  3. The system will ask us to enter the cash we have in the till fund left by the previous shift. A little further down we see what "according to the system" there should be. If there is any discrepancy, we have the option to leave a comment.

Note: Opening the till with a different amount than the amount that, according to the programme, should be there does not affect the till or the turnover of that shift about to start.

  4. Click on "Save".

How to make a cash deposit or withdrawal

This option allows you to make cash deposits or withdrawals at the cash desk. For example, if someone comes to give us change or if you give 50€ of petrol to maintenance.

  1. Click on Main Menu / Cash Register.

  2. Click on Deposit or Withdrawal.

  3. Enter the amount of cash.

  4. Choose the type of cash. Normally you will only have one type, but multi-currency clubs will have more options.

  5. Leave a Note if you need to.

  6. Click "Save".

The system will add or remove that cash from your till so that you can balance the till at the end of the shift.

How to do a cash count (Report X)

This option allows you to make a mid-shift note of the amount of cash and card in the till. In this way we can monitor the cash balance and leave comments if necessary.

Click on Main Menu / Cash Register.

Click on "Close".

Enter the amount of Cash and Card you have in the till at that moment.

In the "According to program" section the system will show what you should have and alert you to any possible discrepancies.

Leave a note if you need to.

Click on "Save".

The system will add this entry to the list of movements in the cash journal and keep the cash drawer open for further operations.

How to do a cash closure (Z-Report)

Closing the till is an action to be carried out at the end of our shift. This will give you a report of all the collections you have made and balance the actual cash in the till.

Click on Main Menu / Cash Register.

Click on "Close".

Enter the amount of Cash and Card you have in the till.

In the "According to program" section the system will show what you should have and alert you to any possible discrepancies.

Leave a note if you need to.

Click on "Save".

The system will add this entry to the list of movements in the cash journal and close the cashbox.

How to get a cash register report

From this list you can consult and print in ticket format:

  • All cash receipts and withdrawals of the day.

  • All collections grouped by payment methods.

  • All payments on account.

  • All deposits.

  • All collections grouped by family and sub-family.

  • All collections grouped by family/sub-family and payment methods.

This ticket contains useful information to attach to the cash and cards at the end of the shift.

It is important to know that there is an advanced option that allows us to filter the cash list showing only the movements corresponding to the last shift. The configuration of this advanced option is as follows:

Name: pos.showCashierLastSession

Value: True

Public: Yes

If we consult the cashier list for a date that has already passed then the complete day with all its shifts will be shown.
