How to add a job to your calendar on the desktop version of GorillaDesk:
Once you've successfully customized your settings, it's time to create a job from scratch and add it to your Calendar. This video will give you a better sense of how the process works.
To add a new job:
Click on a time slot on the calendar
Select the 'New Job' option
On the New Job window, complete the following job details:
Customer: Choose a customer to assign to the job
Location: Select the service address
Service: Select a service from the available service templates
Best Available Time: (This is a Growth Plan feature. Upgrade your plan to use this feature.)
Date and Time: The date and time are automatically set based on the time slot you clicked on in the calendar.
Length: Automatically set based on the service template, but can be adjusted if needed.
Time Window (This is a Pro Plan feature. Upgrade your plan to use this feature.)
Assign to: Automatically assigned to the schedule currently displayed on your calendar.
Sold by: Select the user who sold this job and will receive the commission.
Repeat: Choose whether this job is a one-time job or a recurring job. Recurring jobs can be customized to repeat at a specific frequency, and you can set exceptions as needed. Frequency and exceptions are explained in the Recurring Jobs article.
Set to Confirmed: When this toggle is ON, the job and all future recurring jobs will be marked with Confirmed status.
Job note will appear on the job detail when the job is created.
Once the job is saved, a new tile will be created on the calendar. Recurring jobs will appear inactive or grayed out and cannot be opened until the current active job is marked Completed or Canceled.
Keep in mind that there are six possible job statuses in GorillaDesk:
Unconfirmed
Confirmed
Reschedule
Complete
Canceled
β¨ In addition to the default job statuses, you can create custom statuses when you upgrade to Growth Plan. Check out the 'Custom Job Status' article here>>>
You can also switch between different calendar views to easily see and manage your scheduled jobs.
You can also view the calendar in list format using the available Agenda views.
Creating or editing jobs may be restricted for some users. Superadmin and Admins can control these permissions in Settings > Users > Permission Settings.
