Sending bulk messages via WhatsApp instead of SMS
With WhatsApp for Grayscale, you can now send bulk messages via WhatsApp and SMS.
Getting Started
Create a new bulk message
Click on the dropdown box under Channel
Select WhatsApp
Select the intended audience (individuals, job, etc...)
Select a pre-approved WhatsApp template
You can preview the template by clicking Preview Selected Template
If nudges are desired, click Add Nudge, then select a pre-approved template for the nudge
Add any desired Followers for the bulk message
Set the date and time for the message to be sent
Check the box to agree to the disclaimer
Click Save
That's it! Your bulk message is now set up to go out over WhatsApp!
FAQs
WhatsApp requires the use of pre-approved templates when sending a message to a candidate not already engaged in an active (i.e., less than 24 hours from last candidate response) WhatsApp conversation
If any recipients were previously engaged in an active SMS conversation, then they will receive the bulk message via SMS instead of WhatsApp. The bulk message will only be sent via WhatsApp to candidates not previously messaged via SMS, or candidates who were engaged in previous WhatsApp conversations
